Scott writes: We purchsed tickets back in March to fly from Atlantic City to Fort Meyers on April 26th, returning May 3rd. My niece was diagnosed with leukemia back in January and took a turn for the worse in April. I called to see if I could cancel the flights for a refund. The agent was flat out rude and stated that I could cancel the flights and get a $400 credit for future travel that HAD to be booked by June 16th. I explained again, the circumstances and offered to provide medical records. They didn't care I lost $638 in cancellation fees.
I WILL NEVER TRAVEL ON SPIRIT AGAIN. I hope they are out of business tomorrow. Criminals. They can cancel flights on a whim with no repercussions, yet when their customer base tries to do the same, they are penalized at an exorbitant fee. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SHARE WITH THE WORLD.
