FIVE MONTHS later, and after much harassment on my part, I received my "compensation"... it was LESS THAN 1/3 of the amount that I claimed. Their ridiculous Contract of Carriage allows them to pick and choose what they'll reimburse me for. My three week trip was over the Christmas holidays, so not only was my entire winter wardrobe lost, but many of my and my family's Christmas gifts are gone. Even though I provided receipts, and submitted a 20+ page claim form (which I was required to have notarized and sent certified mail at my expense) I still haven't been properly compensated. I'm at a loss for what to do ... hire an attorney? Write a letter to the editor of The Miami Herald? I HATE the day I decided to fly Spirit.
