Matt M. writes: I booked a trip with Spirit. When I entered in passenger information, I put my wife's married name instead of her maiden name (her maiden name is still on her passport). We caught the mistake a couple of days before our trip and contacted Spirit immediately. They had us fax documents (marriage license) to a department that has no phone number or any other way for us to contact them to have the process expedited because of the lack of time until departure.
After 2 days no one got back to us. They told us they would not allow my wife to board the plane. We moved the flight back 3 more days and after another two days still no one had gotten back to us. Our flight is 24 hours from now and they have yet to change her name. We are constantly on the phone with customer support but they have basically given us the "too bad" attitude saying there is no way to contact that department and too bad you made a mistake, better luck next time.
