Juan writes: At the Fort Lauderdale airport they told me I made a mistake when I bought the ticket online: I paid for a carry-on, not for a check bag. So, I paid the difference, right?
WRONG! They say they can't make that happen, because the system "doesn't allow them to do it." After the fight, the lady at the counter made it happen. She charged me only the difference. So, the system is working after all! But they charged me for overweight luggage, anyway. Comming back home, at the Bogota airport, the same thing happened. The difference: This time the system DIDN'T WORK!, so I had to pay US$30. But I still got the cheapest fair, right? Like US$420, FortLauderdale-Bogota-FortLauderdale, but with the extra $12 for the chair, and more than $120 IN BAG CHARGES, at the end the cost of the flight was the same as American Airlines, and LAN.
I made a promise: never, ever, ever fly with Spirit again. No matter how broke I am. At the very end, I am going to regret it. Don’t fly with SPIRIT!
