I am flying from hawaii, will have my two children, full bags and multiple surfboards and I feel ripe for the picking. I might just blow off the 375 and get tickets on united for the same price, but I am writing to maybe make a suggestion: if everyone were to take these guys to small claims court, including people like me ready to proactively try and prove systematic abuse would endanger my children, real damage could be done.
If 100 people a month tried this, lawyer fees(@375hr) would add up to 37500 an hour. If 1000 people did this it would be 375000 an hour. This would kill them regardless of judgement, and in my case since I am asking to invalidate the contract without canceling first, even if I lose I can still keep the flight, and have a bigger case should things go south. In other words: sue now with nothing to lose or sue later trying to recover lost money, time and sanity, but if already screwed then no brainer.
Like I said if even 100 people a month did this, that would be felt right where you want them to feel it. We must remember we can fight these greedy bloodsucking corpos if we fight as one. I also ask that you not print my name as I have already written them to get this ball rolling and would not rule out retaliation (think fake threat reports to TSA)
Thank you for your site as I feel lucky to realize what I am getting into far ahead of time.
